The Audiovisual Media Law

The Audiovisual Media Law was issued in accordance with Council of Ministers’ Resolution No.170 of 24/3/1439 AH 

(12 December 2017), it seeks to organize audiovisual media’s activity inside Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as the development of the industry. The Law aims at creating a suitable investment environment and ensuring that associated media content conforms to Saudi Media policy.

Before practicing any audiovisual activity, a license must be obtained according to what is stated in the regulations of Audiovisual Media Law.

Workers in this field are bound by the regulations of Audiovisual Media Law, and the Professional Performance controls set by the General Commission for Audiovisual Media.
